Cocoa Agroforestry
Carbon Sequestration
Transforming traditional cocoa farms into high-integrity carbon sinks through shaded agroforestry and regenerative soil management.
Regenerating the Cocoa Belt
Our project incentivizes smallholder farmers in Cross River to integrate native fruit and timber trees into their cocoa groves. This multi-layered approach increases biomass, restores biodiversity, and enhances Soil Organic Carbon (SOC).
Biomass Accumulation
Average increase of 4.5 tCO2e/ha/year through new tree planting.
Soil Carbon Retention
No-till practices and mulching to prevent carbon oxidation.
